Kramer Gains EMC Engineer Status

(August 16, 2005) – NCEE Labs (Nebraska Center for Excellence in Electronics) announced today that Doug Kramer received notification of his certification as a fully qualified Electromagnetic Compliance (EMC) engineer by the National Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers, Inc. (NARTE).

According to Jim Partington, NCEE’s President, “This is a significant step forward not only for NCEE but the state of Nebraska and the region, as Doug is the only NARTE Certified Engineer in the state, and NCEE Labs is the only full service A2LA Accredited EMC Lab in the region. This simply means that NCEE will continue to offer top notch product testing services for electronics manufacturers, and this certification helps further fulfill the Lab’s mission to do that!”

NARTE certification is recognized worldwide as a badge of excellence. A NARTE certification confirms technical excellence by evaluating an individual’s knowledge and career performance.

Additionally, Jim Partington announced that Steve Cass, NCEE’s Executive Director, is departing to join an international consulting firm. “Steve has been instrumental in getting NCEE off the ground, and we wish him well in his new endeavors.”

NCEE Labs (Nebraska Center for Excellence in Electronics), located in the University of Nebraska Technology Park, houses one of only a few 10 meter semi-anechoic chambers publicly available in the United States for radio frequency (RF) emissions and immunity for Electromagnetic Compatibility testing (EMC).

Accredited by A2LA (American Association of Lab Accreditation), NCEE Labs serves the Aviation, Information Technology, Wireless Communications (Wi-Fi), Industrial, Scientific, Medical, Agricultural, and Forestry industries. Nebraska product compliance testing laboratory Senior Engineer receives National (NARTE) Recognition.
