NCEE Labs HOSTS ATCB Seminar

(April 20, 2006) - NCEE Labs will be hosting a seminar on Testing and Certification of Wireless Devices on June 5 and 6 in Lincoln. Presented by the AmericanTCB, a premier FCC-Designated Telecommunications Certification Body,  the goal of the seminar is to present the latest information on evolving testing and certification requirements and give attendees a better understanding of the processes and procedures to follow to obtain approvals for wireless equipment.

Designed for engineers and key staff involved in the design, development, and testing of wireless devices, the seminar will cover some of the challenges involved with certifying newer technologies.  For example, those using exotic, broadband modulation techniques and multiple-transmitter devices might bring up issues related to radiation hazards, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and certification strategies.

Seminar lecturers have a wealth of experience and information in the field of product certification and will share their perspectives and insight on the regulations and requirements for radio frequency systems. Presenters include Art Wall, Former Deputy Chief of the FCC Laboratory; Dennis Ward, Reviewing Engineer, AmericanTCB, and Doug Kramer, Senior Test Engineer and Lab Manager, NCEE Labs.

The seminar will run from 8 am to 5 pm on June 5 and 6. The cost for the twp day seminar is $675. Cost for an additional registrant from the same company is $575. For more information and to register for the seminar, go to www.atcb.com/seminars.htm.
